Program Events Code of Conduct

These are the standards we hold the Mochadocs ecosystem and community to:

We create event experiences that educate, connect, and inspire the Mochadocs community.

These Mochadocs hosted experiences and conversations are hosted on a variety of platforms, social media channels, the Mochadocs Community, and more. This is not an exhaustive list, but examples of where such conversations take place. 

We believe there’s immense value in being exposed to new viewpoints — including ones that challenge your own way of looking at the world. These experiences can lead to thought-provoking conversations, but we can’t have those conversations unless everyone feels safe and respected.

We’re committed to being a safe and inclusive space for all, regardless of gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, age, race, nationality, ethnicity, disability, medical conditions, religion (or lack thereof), physical appearance, politics, or ideology. Our Code of Conduct is here to provide a clear set of guidelines to everyone in the Mochadocs ecosystem and community about the standards to which we hold you and ourselves.

Be Kind and Respectful
Above all, we ask that everyone behaves respectfully. Be kind to others. Do not insult or put down others. Harassment and sexist, racist, or exclusionary jokes or comments are never tolerated. 

Harassment includes (but is not limited to):

Comments using demeaning, derogatory, or discriminatory language.
Comments intended to cause offense or harm to other members of the community.
Deliberate intimidation or harassing.
Sustained disruption of events.
If you’re asked to stop your behavior, you’re expected to do so immediately and respectfully.

Communication Guidelines
Respecting others also means interacting with them in human, collaborative, and non-spammy ways. Remember that no one has opted in to hear from you simply by being at this Mochadocs hosted experience. It’s important not only to be kind to others, but also to their inboxes.

Of course, we encourage you to connect with others in genuine, human, and helpful ways. We believe peer-to-peer discussions, feedback, and corrections can help build a stronger, safer, and more welcoming community. However, scraping emails, blasting people with unsolicited pitches, or spamming is not acceptable. 

If you see someone behaving disrespectfully, and you feel safe and comfortable doing so, you are encouraged to respectfully discourage them from such behavior. If you do not feel safe, comfortable, or otherwise able to respond and resolve it respectfully on your own, please bring it to the attention of a Mochadoccer immediately. We want to hear from you about anything that you feel is disrespectful, threatening, or otherwise concerning. We will listen and work to resolve the matter.

If you catch yourself behaving disrespectfully, or if someone else shares their discomfort with you, please own up to your words and actions and apologize. We’re human, and even well-intentioned people make mistakes. What matters is how you handle those mistakes  and avoid repeating them in the future.

Antitrust Statement 
Mochadocs supports, encourages, and believes strongly in competition and it is Mochadocs policy to comply in all respects with antitrust laws and regulations that may apply to us and our ecosystem. Partner events by their very nature bring competitors together. It is expected that all Mochadocs  partners, providers, and their employees will be sensitive to legal issues and act in compliance with applicable antitrust and competition laws at all of our partner events. This means it’s necessary to avoid discussions of sensitive topics that can create antitrust concerns. Agreements to fix prices, allocate markets or refuse to deal with third parties in our ecosystem are illegal under the antitrust laws. At our events, discussions of service prices, M&A strategy and discussions that may cause a competitor to cease engaging with another partner, or selling to a particular customer, should be avoided. Please note that an antitrust violation does not require proof of a formal agreement. A discussion of a sensitive topic, such as price for specific products and services, followed by action by those involved or present at the discussion is enough to show a price fixing conspiracy. As a result, those attending Mochadocs partner and provider events should remember the importance of avoiding not only unlawful activities, but even the appearance of unlawful activity.

Getting Help
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, notice discussions of sensitive topics that can create antitrust issues, or have any other concerns, please reach out to the Mochadocs host, facilitator, admin, or any Mochadoccer in attendance. If you prefer to address an issue anonymously you can also email partners@mochadcos.com.

We take all concerns seriously, and we will use our discretion in determining when and how to follow up on reported incidents. Depending on the circumstances involved, we may decline to take any further action or may direct the individual to other resources for resolution.

If we determine that the individual reported is acting inappropriately, we may take any actions that we feel are necessary to prevent continued disrespectful behavior or harassment.
