Digital signatures are more secure than traditional handwritten signatures for a number of reasons.

Difficult to forge

First, a digital signature is often tied to a specific device or piece of software, making it more difficult to forge.

Uses a private key

Additionally, digital signatures can be generated using a private key that is known only to the signer, making it nearly impossible for someone else to create a valid signature on their behalf.

Easy to verify

Furthermore, digital signatures are often accompanied by a cryptographic hash of the document being signed, which can be used to verify the authenticity and integrity of the document. This makes it much harder for an attacker to alter the document without being detected.
