Why require 2FA?
Two-step verification has been around for some time in Mochadocs. With the use of 2FA, your contract lifecycle management tools are more secure. Two-step verification is an extra layer of security on top of your username and password. As the owner of the data in Mochadocs, you do not always have control over what users of your CLM tools do. For example, you cannot oversee how well everyone handles their passwords.
By requiring two-step verification, you can be sure that everyone with access to your contract logs in securely and the data in your data in the contract lifecycle management tools is more secure.
How to make 2FA mandatory?
As the administrator of Mochadocs, you can easily make two-step verification mandatory for all users. You need to indicate there whether you want to require two-step verification. Before you can require 2FA.
Make Security Part of Your Daily Routine
- Make security part of your daily routine, not just for yourself, but also for your colleagues, suppliers, partners and customers.
- Develop security policies that match the current threat landscape, and make sure they are clear and easy to follow. As part of that process, evaluate your current access management. You’ll want to limit permissions and access as much as is possible or practical (to reduce the scope of any potential breach), and make sure everyone understands why this is important.
- Use two-factor authentication. Also, ensure that the stakeholders you work with have implemented proper security measures; otherwise, your hard work can be undone by the poor password practices of a third-party vendor or a poorly trained helpdesk employee.
