Examining Contracts

“Wanting to read everything can be a pitfall…” says Joey, project assistant at the Virtual Implementation Team. “...sometimes you go through dozens of pages when all you need to do is look for a start date, end date, notice period, and renewal term.”

  • Contract Types
You don't have to read every contract completely. First check what kind of contract you are dealing with (subscription, SLA, real estate, etc.). Then you know exactly what to look for.

  • Standardization of content
In the Kick-Off we discuss how you can apply standards to the content and tasks of different contract types. Recognizing the contract type helps you find the information you need. In the case of a real estate contract (rent), this could be, for example, the amount of the surety or bank guarantee.

Anticipate which contract type you want to investigate, for which information. Record this in the setup of the contract type (only accessible to administrators).
